Superficial infections of the skin caused by fungi(dermnatophytosis dermatomycosis) are exceedingly common: athlete’s foot and ringworm of the scalp are particularly well known. The fungi attack only the keratinized, dead layers of the skin, nails, and hair. A common lesion caused by these organisms is known as "ringworm" or tinea in which the lesion spreads in a circle about a healing, scaly, central portion. Clinically the dermatomycoses can be classified according to the area of the body involved. Burning, itching, and pain may develop and pyogenic infections may be superimposed. 1. Superficial infected of the skin by T. rubrum(150 cases), T. metagrophytes(5 cases), M. canis(3 cases), M. gypseum(2 cases), E. floccosum(2 cases), and C. albicans(17 cases). 2. Nail infected by T. rubrum(20 cases) and C. albicans(1 case). 3. Hair infected by M. canis(5 cases).
